Thanks for coming to the Panetta Blog. I'd like to share an article with you that a Panetta student sent me today. Its an article really directed towards teenagers - but really applies to US ALL - including corporations - not just individuals..... I hope you enjoy it!  Liz

WORDS FOR TEENAGERS (but also words that apply to all who live on the Planet.....)

"Northland College Principal John Tapene has offered the following words from a judge who regularly deals with youth.

Always we hear the cry from teenagers, "what can we do, where can we go".

"My answer is this he says: "Go home, mow the lawn, wash the windows, learn to cook, build a raft, get a job, visit the sick, study your lessons and after you've finished, read a book. Your Town does not owe you recreational facilities and your parents do not owe you fun. The world does not owe you a living, you owe the world something. You owe it your time, energy and talent so that no one will be at war, in sickness and lonely again. In other words grow up, stop behaving a cry baby, get out of your dream world and develop a backbone not a wishbone. Start behaving like a responsible person. You are important and you are needed. It's too late to sit around and want for somebody to do something someday. Someday is now and that somebody is you".  END

Pretty  strong words eh?....... It mentions dreaming - and dreaming is really important to our world's health. However, dreaming without working towards manifesting that dream isn't so good. For example, we might dream (visualise) the world a happier place, our oceans clean, forests healthy, people worldwide at peace with each other.

Think about the oceans for a moment where we might have spent some meditation time visualising the oceans of the world clean and healthy. Then in our "real world" we find ourselves walking along a beach, see some plastic bottles, nylon fishing line, tin cans - and just walk past them and ignore them..... Can we expect our "visualisation" of the oceans being clean really manifest while we only walk past these things - ignore them? Our "dream" needs to be encouraged to manifest by our physical determination to demonstrate that dream.

Perhaps the article quoted above doesn't only apply to teenagers - it applies to every single one of us who live on the Planet eh?.....  These are the kind of words many teenagers use nowadays but if we all set a great example to them, individually AND cvollectively within organisations - it will help teenagers to see its really worthwhile.

Why also organisations - including Councils...... because organisations as well as individuals can put off til another day as well...... If we have an idea come through - we need to ACT on that idea - not just sit on it...... and then nurture it with love and tender devotion......

Love to all - Liz at Panetta Healing
